How do I apply as an Expert?
On the signup page you can choose the option to signup as an 'Expert' and submit your profile details.
How long does it take to submit my profile?
It’s a simple 3 step process, and takes about 5-10 minutes to complete your profile.
Who is accepted as an Expert?
Top professionals with considerable experience and knowledge are accepted as an Expert. Mostly it’s a mix of C-suite executives, consultants, niche industry experts and leading start-up founders who join our community.
How do I increase my chances of getting accepted?
Before any expert is accepted on Zzoko, their details are thoroughly reviewed by our community team. We encourage all experts to share as much as information as possible about their past roles, projects and education. This significantly helps us make a quick decision.
How long does it take to get a response from the Zzoko team?
After submitting your detailed profile, our community team will review your details and notify you of your application status in 12 to 36 hours. If we require any additional information we will contact you either by email or by phone.
When will I get appointments?
Our user website will be completely functional by end of February and then users will be able to schedule appointments with you.
Why do I need to give my information?
What information will be visible to users?
Basic information of the Expert like Full Name, cover pictures, profile photo, state, country, area of expertise, bio, categories, languages spoken, blogs, videos, ratings, reviews & session information would be visible to the users.
What information will not be visible to users?
Information like phone number, address, gender, education, email, certifications, and payment information will not be visible to the user.
When will the payment be remitted to my account?
As soon as the session is completed, the user gets 24 hours to review the session and report any problems. After which the fee is transferred to your account.
What if my profile is not accepted?
In case if your profile is not accepted, we will still notify you and you can always reach out to us on firstname.lastname@example.org to get specifics.
What happens after my profile is accepted?
Once you are accepted to join the platform, you will be able to accept 1-on-1 video meeting requests and start earning.
Why do I share my location and info?
Sharing your location helps the platform schedule video meetings accurately especially in case of different times zones. Your information helps us know you better and helps us verify your profile.
How do I accept or cancel a session?
Zzoko will notify you via text and email that a client has requested a 1-on-1 video meeting with you. You can find meeting invitations in your account dashboard. In the meeting details you can choose to accept or cancel a meeting. However, when you cancel a meeting please be courteous to provide the reason for cancellation.
Can I propose new meeting schedules?
Absolutely ! If you are unavailable for the proposed meeting schedules, you can always edit your calendar as per your convenience.
Can I ask for more details about the topic or client ?
After receiving the topic details and discussion points in your 1-on-1 meeting request, you can always message and ask for more information through our messaging platform to make your meetings more actionable.
How much does Zzoko charge me as an expert ?
Zzoko, after a certain period of promotional time, will charge providers a minimal fee for the services of connecting experts with the Clients that hire them and collecting payment for work. This fee would be a small reasonable part of the Client's payments.
Note: The platform is completely FREE until further declarations.
Are the video calls private and confidential ?
Every video meeting is a private conversation between you and your customers, we do not record those meetings.
Will I be reviewed by customers ?
After every meeting, the customer can review the meeting experience and provide ratings based on the discussion. Please ensure your meetings are effective and actionable to receive high ratings as this affects your profile visibility in search and getting more meetings in the future.
Is my contact information kept private?
Trust and security within our community is our highest priority. We will not disclose any of your contact information to others. Calls are connected through Zzoko, therefore your phone number and email address will never be disclosed.
How do I create a great profile?
Showcasing your expertise is essential in making you stand out and having members reach out to you. Create a great profile to stand out!
1. Friendly Profile Photo
Having a high quality casual but professional profile image is very important. Having a friendly photo of yourself in your profile helps create trust and shows that you are a real person that we can talk to.
2. Add your Areas of Expertise.
By listing the various areas of expertise you're able to help someone which is very important. Great listing titles include not only the keywords they would use in a search (Ex: Raising Capital, Social Media, Manufacturing) but it should also include benefits & details. (ex: Seed fundraising tips for first time entrepreneurs). List your relevant accomplishments in this area and the benefits they're likely to receive from your call. Adding a personal photo that re-enforces the expertise is a great way to get more call requests.
3. Add relevant topics.
Our mission is to help others looking for someone with your skill sets to find and connect with you. ""Topics"" is the best way to do this. We allow every member to select up to 10 topics that best define their skills, knowledge, experience or passions that they feel comfortable talking about.
How do I promote my profile?
"To optimize your listing for Zzoko's internal search, as well as for major search engines like Google and Bing, make sure to do the following:
1. Include potential search terms in your title and description.
Think about how people search for expertise. Help with Social Media marketing might include words like Twitter, Google+, Social Strategy, etc. Mention any companies or past clients that you've worked with. Include detailed descriptions of your accomplishments and related tools & techniques you might use.
2. Set a competitive hourly rate.
Take a look at what other experts in your category are charging and use a similar price. It’s a good idea as a new expert to start off at a slightly lower rate, then raise it as you get more reviews. Searches are made using specific keywords and quality ratings. Making sure your profile details are up to date will ensure you're reaching the right members.
3. Complete each section of your listing and your Zzoko profile.
Utilize all of the fields available to manage your listing and profile. Be as descriptive as possible as to your accomplishments, background and expertise. High quality photos are extremely important.
4. Use social media and the web.
Share your profile in your network. Get your listing's URL from the address bar on your public page. If you or your friends have websites, be sure to provide the link there. Relevant links to your listing from other websites can help you rank higher in major search engines.

Every expert has a blog widget that they can use to add blogs to their personal profile. Doing so will promote your profile to any of the visitors and encourage them to book your sessions.
The secret to being a successful Expert lies in following a few standards
-Accuracy. Ensure that your profile and listing's photos, experience, accomplishments, and general description accurately reflect the advice the member will experience.
-Communication. Respond to all enquiries and reservation requests within 24 hours.
-Availability. Respond to each request for a call by either accepting, suggesting new times or cancelling with a valid reason.
-Commitment. Ensure that you can commit to the member before accepting a call request. If a cancellation is unavoidable, make every effort to help the member reschedule or suggest another expert who can help your client.
-Welcome. Make sure that you are prepared and on-time for your call at the predetermined time.
-Helpful. During the call, be sure to answer the questions being asked in a clear and helpful way.
